He (Sancho) was given an opportunity, just like I was, at a very high level, and they show you right away that they trust you and they’re going to give an equal opportunity to all the players. He’s done an amazing job since he came in and has obviously shown what abilities he has.”

Neville Southall believes Theo Walcott is unhappy at Everton

Former Premier League ace Neville Southall believes Theo Walcott does not look happy with his position at Everton. The England international made the switch to the Toffees from Arsenal in January 2018 and he has since struggled to live up to the expectations. In the current season, he has netted just one goal from 21 league appearances and Southall feels the attacker may need a fresh challenge during the backend of his career.

He told: “If I were advising Kevin De Bruyne, I’d still say, ‘Stay where you are’. Sometimes it’s better to know what you’ve got than what you might have and City’s players have a fantastic club, an unbelievable manager and great facilities. Players are human beings and you have to be happy where you play and I see some players today that don’t look happy – sometimes you’re just not the right person for that club. That’s how I feel when I look at Theo Walcott at Everton, for instance.”

Chris Sutton sending warning to Chelsea attacker Christian Pulisic

BBC Sport pundit Chris Sutton has said that Christian Pulisic has to prove himself in order to earn a regular run in the Premier League under Frank Lampard. The United States international made a positive beginning to the season where he was handed with a regular starting role but things have become difficult as the campaign has progressed.

In the past four Premier League matches, Pulisic has been afforded with just 10 minutes of playing time and that has resulted from the fact that Callum Hudson-Odoi, Mason Mount, Pedro and Willian are all ahead of him in the selection order. Speaking on Radio 5 Live, Sutton said that Lampard does not have an agenda against the former Borussia Dortmund man but he is certainly not a favourite with the Blues boss.

Daniel Farke hails the talents of Chelsea playmaker Christian Pulisic

Norwich City manager Daniel Farke has hailed the talents of Christian Pulisic and believes the attacker has the credentials to become one of the best offensive players in the world. The USA international signed for the Blues from Borussia Dortmund in January but he only made the move this summer after he was loaned back to the German side for the backend of the 2018/19 season.

Speaking in a press conference, Farke, who was formerly a youth coach at Dortmund, said that he has a good knowledge about the qualities of the forward, who initially developed through the reserve squad at BVB, he told: “Top class player. I would take him but we had no chance. We worked together in Dortmund, not directly together because I was not responsible for the first team and at this time Christian was with the under-19s but involved several times in the first team. He will have a great career, I am pretty sure, and this big money move was totally deserved. For Chelsea a great decision to buy him. He is one of the biggest offensive talents in the whole world.”

Pulisic joined the Blues after a couple of games into pre-season and he was impressive for the club with a run of consistent performances. The same has not been replicated at the start of the real campaign with just one assist from three matches but the 20-year-old should find the mojo with more gametime on the playing field. Chelsea are scheduled to face Norwich City on the road this weekend where they will be aiming to secure the first triumph of the new season. The Canaries have a weakness in terms of the defensive play but rest assured, they will offer a strong challenge to the Blues, who are yet to preserve a clean sheet in any competition.
