The United States goalkeeper Tim Howard has said that he feels that the English Premier league title race is far from over even though Manchester United have a healthy lead in the table. Sir Alex Ferguson’s men have a four point advantage over City in the table, while they have an even more commanding lead to the third placed team Chelsea. This has led to many believing that the title race is almost over even before Christmas. Tim Howard, though, things that there are many games left in the Premier league for things to change in the second half of the season.
Everton have started the season extremely well and they have managed to maintain the momentum as well. This has meant that they are, for the first time in seven seasons, competing for a spot in the top four along with the likes of Tottenham and Arsenal. They are currently in the fifth spot in the Premier league, but they are level with the fourth placed team Arsenal. They are in the fifth position only in virtue of the poor goal difference. The great start to the season has certainly helped the team according to Howard, who has seen Everton falter on a number of occasions at the start of the season.
a?I feel under a lot of pressure at Everton because we have a strong team and a strong manager (David Moyes) who expects us to win every weekend. The feeling (beating United) was great as we needed to start the season strong. African players have been a revelation in the Barclays Premier League in the last 10 to 15 years and there is more to come… we love their flair,” said the US international Tim Howard, who has also said that he will not play as long as his fellow countryman Brad Friedel.
