Belgium knocked out United States in the round of 16 of the 2014 World Cup in a match that was decided in extra time as neither teams managed to score a single goal during the opening 90 minutes of the match but when added time was given, goals started to flourish with Belgium winning with a narrow scoreboard of 2-1.
When the 2014 World Cup reached its end, the manager of the United States national football team Jurgen Klinsmann claimed that he had received a number of offers from European clubs but the German tactician replied by saying that he is looking forward for everything that is waiting for him as the head coach of the American outfit.
Klinsmann said: a?aThere have been several enquiries from European clubs but I told them straight away that they donat have to follow up on them. Thatas not an issue for me. I am under contract here until 2018, and I am looking forward to the upcoming tasksaa
Compared to other sports in the United States, Soccer does not play a huge role and the team of Jurgen Klinsmann was never expected to win the 2014 World Cup or any of the previous editions of the worldwide tournament but they still managed to make an impressive campaign as the team just barely slipped away from entering the quarterfinals, the last time they have managed on reaching so far was back in 2002 when Japan hosted the World Cup.
The 50 year old German coach is well aware of all the work that he has to do as there are things that still need to be done including their task of defending their title at the 2015 Gold Cup as well as making another impressive campaign in the 2018 World Cup.
